Amanda Gulley

My name is Amanda Gulley and this is my seventh year at Lovejoy High School as the Ready, Set, Teach! coordinator and Family and Consumer Science teacher.  I am so lucky to have the opportunity to train the future teachers of America.  I am also the TAFE (Texas Association of Future Educators) sponsor and Career and Technology/ Electives department lead.

Family and Consumer Sciences is my passion and I am fortunate that I get to teach a variety of different courses including: Principles of Education and Training, Child Development, Ready, Set, Teach! and Family and Community Services.

I graduated from Tarleton State University and have been teaching Family and Consumer Sciences for seventeen years.  I currently reside in Allen, TX with my family.  I am a proud Mom and my son (Mark) is currently studying jazz at the University of North Texas.  

I consider teachers to be "The Hope for Tomorrow" and I consider myself extremely fortunate to be leading the Education and Training program at Lovejoy High School.
