Lovejoy High student council has earned recognition as TASC Sweepstakes Council Lovejoy High student council has earned recognition as a Texas Association of Student Councils (TASC) Sweepstakes Council, the highest honor a TASC council can achieve as well as Outstanding Student Council. Sweepstakes Councils must earn recognition in the areas of Pride and Patriotism, Energy and Environment, and Drugs, Alcohol, Safety and Health, as well as School & Community service. Only exceptional councils earn this honor, and help set the bar to which other councils should aspire. This achievement serves as a benchmark for what a well-rounded student council in Texas should do to be effective. This is truly a significant accomplishment and is a testament of the hard work Student Council does each year.
