Lovejoy ISD is proud to celebrate the four hundred sixty nine students at Lovejoy High School who have earned AP Scholar Awards and recognitions of their exceptional achievements on AP Exams.
The College Board’s Advanced Placement Program® (AP®) provides students with the opportunity to take rigorous college-level courses while still in high school, and to earn college credit, advanced placement, or both from successful performance on the AP Exams.
In May 2025, 1004 Lovejoy ISD students completed AP exams. Collectively, students took 2,354 exams representing tests from the Arts, English, History and Social Sciences, Math and Computer Science, the Sciences, World Languages and Cultures, and AP Capstone.
The College Board recognizes several levels of achievement based on students’ performance on AP Exams. At Lovejoy High School:
209 students qualified for the AP Scholar with Distinction Award by earning an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams.
66 students qualified for the AP Scholar with Honor Award by earning an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
191 students qualified for the AP Scholar Award by completing three or more AP Exams with scores of 3 or higher.
58 students qualified for the AP Capstone Diploma by completing both AP Seminar and Research and earning a 3 or higher. Diploma students also earn a 3 or higher on four additional AP courses of their choosing.
12 students qualified for the AP Seminar and Research Certificate by earning a score of 3 or higher in both courses.
Lovejoy High School students continue to demonstrate excellent achievement, both in classroom performance and through the College Board’s external validation.
