About Me:
I started teaching at Lovejoy in 2007, and I am excited to continue my professional journey as a Dyslexia teacher. This school year I will be supporting 3 campuses: Hart Elementary, Willow Springs Middle School, and Lovejoy High School. In my youth, I grew up all over the United States and even spent time in Germany and Belgium. (My dad served in the Army). I graduated from George Mason University in Virginia and worked in management and corporate training before starting my teaching career. I currently live in Allen with my husband Kent. We are the proud parents of two grown children. My daughter,  Emily, graduated from New York University and works as a content strategist in Dallas. My son, Cody,  is now a sports analyst after graduating from Texas A&M University, (Whoop!). When I am not teaching, I love to read, knit, garden, and watch sports! (Aggies, Texas Rangers, Dallas Mavericks) I also love my morning coffee and walking my dogs: Sophie and Lily. I am looking forward to another amazing year of teaching because I am truly grateful for the opportunity to learn and work with our amazing students each day.
