My name is Lisa Diena and this is my first year at Lovejoy High School. Previously, I taught French for four years at the high school level in Rochester, New York and for two years at the college level at Syracuse University.
I earned my bachelor's degree in Secondary Education with a concentration in French from Nazareth College of Rochester and my master's degree in French and Francophone Literature from Syracuse University. During my time at Syracuse University, I wrote a paper examining women's role in medieval literature through the lense of the text, "Perceval ou le conte du Graal". That paper was presented at a graduate school colloquium and was then published by the university.
I have a son named Amir who is less than a year old. My husband is from Senegal (West Africa) and so I am lucky to be a part of a bilingual home!
I love French and Francophone culture and cannot wait to share that enthusiasm with all of you!
