I attended the University of Texas at Austin and graduated in 1999 with a Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development degree in Elementary Education with a Spanish specialty. Hook 'em! Upon graduating from college, I became certified in secondary education, as well, and I taught secondary Spanish for 5 years. I also served as a team leader for the Languages Other Than English Department during that time. I earned a Master of Education degree in Administration from the University of North Texas in 2004, and upon graduation from the master's program, I became an administrator. I served as a dean of students for two years, and then I moved into an assistant principal role following that position. I enjoy working with students, parents, and staff always, and I believe teamwork and cooperation among all of us allows for student success!
