Greetings! This will be my first year to teach at Lovejoy High School, and I couldn't be more thrilled. It is truly a unique and innovative school. I believe with all my heart that I am lucky to be teaching here, and our students are lucky to be enrolled at a school with such an enriching environment.
Who am I? I am a bilingual English, Spanish, and ESL certified educator with six-years of teaching experience.
I have had the invaluable experiences of first-hand immersion in Hispanic, Arabic, and Korean schools. I grew up in South America, which is where I learned to speak Spanish. Most recently, I taught in public government schools in South Korea and the United Arab Emirates. These opportunities have given me unique insight into cultures and languages which I am eager to share with my students.
Outside of the classroom, I love traveling, reading, and spending time with my family. I have an 11 month-old son, an incredible husband, and two cats who have traveled the world with us. My goal is to add a new country to my “traveled” list for every year of my life. I am currently at 28!
I love talking about culture, language, books, crazy foods, and every nerdy fictional universe you can imagine. Please check back here soon for links to my teacher site and class calendar!
