About Me
Hi, my name is Courtney Todd, and welcome to my English I and English II Gifted and Talented classroom! I grew up in Dallas and belong to a family of five. My younger brother, Hunter, graduated from U.T. and just moved back to Austin from New York City to work for the start up High Brew. My younger sister, Hayley, graduated from U.T. in May and is interested in interior designing. Through a volunteer experience at Texas A&M, I realized that teaching was for me. Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with friends and family. I belong to Watermark Community Church and am active in several ministries there.
Education Background/Qualifications
I graduated from Texas A&M in 2010 with a B.A. in Communication and a minor in Spanish. This is my eighth year in Lovejoy and fourth year at LHS. This is my fourth year serving as the assistant girls soccer coach. I will also be working with the 7th and 8th grade girls at Willow Springs. Outside of school, I am currently pursuing a masters at Dallas Theological Seminary and will finish in May 2018. Prior to teaching, I served as a counselor at Camp Ozark in Arkansas. I have also worked closely with an educational nonprofit, LIFT, where I taught ESL classes to adults. I currently teach GT English I and II.
