I am very excited to be teaching Geometry this year at Lovejoy High School. The start of a new year holds the promise of new discovery and learning as well as the prospect of personal growth in all areas. I look forward to learning more about my students as we venture out the rest of this year together.
Not only am I a Geometry teacher, but I am the Lovejoy High School head bowling coach as well. I started bowling over 25 years ago and fell in love with the sport. I have had the opportunity to bowl all over the U.S., including national tournaments, and even bowling with pro-bowlers a few times.
A little about me…I grew up in Colorado, where I learned to appreciate a good education and developed a great love for wolves. I graduated from Texas Woman's University in Denton, TX, with a B.S. in Mathematics with a Secondary Teaching Certification. I moved to the McKinney area in 2012, and I love living in this area. I have an amazing teenage son, and 4 obnoxious but loveable cats.
Besides having a passion for bowling, I consider myself a true "math geek" and LOVE to see how math is used outside the classroom and in our world. I also enjoy watching "The Walking Dead" & "Supernatural", reading science fiction, traveling, and playing games while spending quality time with friends and family. I avidly cheer on my favorite teams, the Dallas Cowboys & the Boston Bruins.
I have a great year planned out and I am anxious to get started on this journey with you. My contact information is provided, please feel free to contact me at anytime with questions, concerns, or comments. It is my intention that we will work together to create the best year possible. My promise is to give my best to you every day!
