Alex Duran

Getting to know me...

It has been a privilege both teaching and coaching our student /athletes here at The Lovejoy High School.  I was hired as a Spanish Teacher / Boys Varsity Head Soccer Coach.  I am starting my 28th year in education and have also worked in the Mesquite, Plano, and Allen independent school districts.

I am a graduate of North Mesquite High School and the University of Tulsa. I attended the University of Tulsa where I played soccer all four years.  I graduated with a BA in EDUC/ SPAN.  I met my wife Tracey while at the university.  In 2012 I was honored with an induction into the University of Tulsa Hall of Fame.

In addition to coaching and playing soccer I love to travel and play golf.
