Biology, Anatomy & Student Council

I am so excited to be teaching here at Lovejoy High School. I am a part of the original staff which began the school back in 2006. I work every day to instill those initials values written in the Lovejoy Graduate profile. It is my hope that I will be able to share my love of Biology & Anatomy with all my students while establishing quality relationships with the students, staff members, and the community. It is my hope to foster an environment of open communication and support while designing challenging, enriching, and innovative activities that address the diverse interests and needs of my students.

I grew up in Midland, Texas and attended Midland Lee High School. There I was a member of several organizations including Varsity Tennis, Student Council, & NHS.
I attended McMurry University, a small private Methodist college. It was 4 amazing years that I will never forget. This is where I acquired my Multidisciplinary Studies degree, with teaching fields in Math and Biology. I also played tennis and held a spot in a local sorority. (TIP)
Go Indians! (Warhawks now)
My teaching career started in McKinney ISD in 1998 at McKinney High School. I moved on to help open McKinney North. I taught Biology and coached tennis.
My husband and I currently live in Allen with our 2 children and 2 dogs. Both of our parents live in the area and we enjoy being able to see them frequently. My daughter and son are the joys of my life and supply constant energy and fun. I love being a busy soccer mom. I love keeping up with my former students and even maintain an alumni bulletin board of all their accomplishments. I am proud of each and everyone of my Leopards, current and former. Once a Leopard, always a Leopard.
