Fine Arts Department
Lovejoy ISD offers a full range of courses in both the Performing and Visual Arts. The courses are tightly aligned to the state required Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) starting in kindergarten through twelfth grade to provide enriching and optimal opportunities for students as they pursue their interests in the arts. All programs are vertically integrated to ensure students gain optimal knowledge and resources to prepare for the next level of coursework and performance. Currently, our high school music programs and theatre are competitive in all aspects of UIL competition while the secondary Visual Arts programming is highly competitive in both regional and national venues.
The vision of Lovejoy Arts is to instill in our students and community a life-long passion for the performing and visual arts that results in personal and professional artistic pursuits beyond high school graduation.
The mission of Lovejoy Arts is to provide creative curriculum, technical development, and engaging opportunities that will ignite a personal passion for every student enrolled in a fine arts course.
The Secondary Arts programs offer a full array of courses and opportunities for developmental growth and competition.
Lovejoy High School Students may pursue the following options:
Performing Arts: Band, Choir, Majestics Dance Team, AP Music Theory, Orchestra, Studio Dance and Theatre
