Kristi Hart

I am super excited to be teaching here in Lovejoy! I absolutely love studying history and world cultures, but the more I learn, the more I realize just how much more I don't know yet.

 

I am originally from St. Paul, MN. I graduated in 2003 with a BA from University of Minnesota Duluth, the land where our snow drifts often hit two stories high. Then I moved to Texas because I never wanted to deal with snow again. Little did I know about Texas and their "snowmageddons" every few years... I earned an MA from Dallas Theological Seminary. From there I worked in a church for several years while staying home with my own two children. I spent four years working under one of the research professors from Dallas Seminary, intensely studying the culture of the Roman Empire and translating ancient documents from their original languages. When my youngest began first grade, I decided to chase a dream: to teach history. I began my teaching career in Richardson ISD and made the switch to Lovejoy in 2022.

 

When I'm not at school, I can be found driving my two kids to all their extracurricular activities. If I have time between that, I'm either reading a book or enjoying a ballet class.
