Jeannie Haines RN BSN

My name is Jeannie Haines and I have been the Lovejoy High School Nurse since the school opened! I am so happy to be part of the Lovejoy High School team look forward to working with you and your children as they continue their secondary education!

I am originally from the Baltimore-Washington DC area and earned my Bachelor’s in Nursing from the University of Maryland.  My areas of clinical practice include Critical Care, Education and Staff Development, Hospital Administration, and School Nursing.  I maintain multiple advanced certifications and teach in several community education programs.

I have a wonderful husband and 4 healthy children, and 6 extraordinary grandchildren!

I am proud to say I have a “Lovejoy Leopard graduate” our youngest son graduated in the first graduating class of Lovejoy High School.  We have been living in the Allen area for 13 years and we truly love the Texas way of life!

My philosophy includes a strong belief health and wellbeing are critical for a successful and happy life.  We will work together to keep your children healthy and engaged in their studies and activities.  My goals include:

  1.  Promote a healthy and safe environment for the students, staff, andCommunity. 
  2. Work as a child advocate.
  3. Work with students and parents to reduce the incidence of student related accidents and illness. 
  4. Provide health education for students, staff, parents, and thecommunity. 
  5. Provide health assessment of students to promote early referral of healthconcerns for further evaluation. 
  6. Serve as a nurse consultant on the school Student Support.Team. 
  7. Provide first aid and emergency care until a parent/guardian can be contactedor emergency personnel arrive.
  8. Administer medications according to Lovejoy ISD and Texas State guidelines as part of the student plan for good health and function during the school day.
